Our Master/Expert Class Champion this year was captured by the rapidly improving Expert, Sudeep Vadderaju. Sudeep looked to be in trouble after a rough day on Saturday, but he surged back with 2 wins in the final 2 rounds to right the ship and secure the Missouri Championship Plaque. Congrats to Sudeep! ... See MoreSee Less

This year's Class A Champion had one of the most successful performances of the event this year. Alvin He took clear first place in his section, even with the Master/Expert section being combined into Class A! Alvin "played up" twice, against an Expert and a Master, getting a win and a draw, while grabbing a perfect 3 out of 3 wins against fellow A class players. A fantastic performance that moved him across the coveted 2000 rating Mark and earned him the Class A Championship Plaque! ... See MoreSee Less

A special congratulations to this year's Class B champion, and he has pulled off the rarely seen 3 Peat! In 2022, Vedant Maiti traveled to Kansas City and earned himself the Class D title. In 2023 he arrived in St. Louis to take home the Class C Championship. Now the story continues in Springfield in 2024 as Vedant again moved up and won the Class B Plaque! This guy is unstoppable! Look out A players next year!!! ... See MoreSee Less

This year's C Class Championship was one of the closer races, with 4 players still in striking distance going into the last round. In the end it would be a regular visitor from Kansas, Laurence Coker who would top the field with an impressive 4 Wins and 1 Draw. Coker snagged the 1st place prize money and nearly a hundred rating points for his efforts. Meanwhile the battle for top Missouri finisher was settled when Issac Drum finished round 5 undefeated, scoring 3 Wins and 2 Draws to grab the Class C Champion Plaque. Congrats to both on a great weekend! ... See MoreSee Less
