2019 Joplin Public Library Open Tournament

Format:

Rated: 4 round Swiss, Game in 40 with 5 second delay  (G/40,d5)
Unrated K-12:  4 round Swiss, Game in 20 with 5 second delay  (G/20,d5)

One 1/2 point bye available if requested before the beginning of round 2

Sections:

Rated Open: Requires a current USCF membership to play.

Unrated K-12: Open to players grades K-12.

All games played under US Chess tournament regulations.

Round Times:

Rated: 10:00, 11:30, 2:00, 3:30

K-12: 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 2:00

Entry Fee:

Rated Open: $20 (50% of entries go to support the JPL Children’s Department and Chess Club)

K-12: FREE

Donations always welcome

Prizes:

Rated Open: 50% of entries as prizes: Top-2 finishers guaranteed prizes, Additional prizes possible based on turnout

K-12: Top-2 finishers given awards.

Registration: Advance registration requested. Rated entries can be paid on 12/7/2019 or mailed in advance
Players in the Rated Open must have a current USCF membership.
